This is Amy Pond's house.

This is the second floor hall of Amy Pond's house.

Why is there a third floor staircase?

I'm on to your little game, Moffat...

Attic access? I have no idea how ye olde UK houses are typically set up. But dang if this doesn't look like Moffat being tricksy!

Is there a time machine up there? Did those other people we speculated about go up there and not come down? The best is how many clues there are. The Doctor stands just beside it when he says how he's missing something in the corner of his eye (not just the 6th bedroom). I was talking to Nat last night about how I KNEW there was something so elegantly obvious that will jump out at us once we've seen the whole story arc.

I officially love Steven Moffat. <3

I just looked at the third image, and seriously, WHAT THE WHAT??

Uh, maybe the third story blew away on a windy day, so they just cut their losses and capped it off. :P

I kind of want to spend the rest of this week rewatching the series and looking for clues.

Yeah, Amy's house is bigger on the inside.

I would enjoy that. :D It's the biggest most fun treasure hunt. If you want to watch together we can set something up...

I just watched the preview clip from the Big Bang. All I have to say is:

Or a timeship?

Unless the rear of the house has a half-third floor. It happens sometimes here, that a house will have a half-second floor or be a split level.

There was a story just before the finale which featured a one story building with a staircase to a non-existent second floor. Then hints that Amy's house is "too big" and "has too many empty rooms."

It's not impossible for there to be a third floor tucked into the roof. My wife's parents' house has one; the rooms taper away under sloped ceilings.

However, it's not impossible that there isn't a third floor as well. More likely for there not to be. I love the theory and the observation.

I believe I know just enough to know generally where the story is going, but I love the fact that I'm certain the actual ending will be a total surprise that will, nevertheless, make perfect sense later.

Oh! Now this I like...and it's very interesting! I do love Moffat so very much but I do hope Rory comes out of it all without dying. Again. :P

Did you watch the preview clip for the Big Bang yet? auton!Rory is in it...

Oh gosh, yes I did. Found it just a few minutes ago actually and have watched it over and over and over.... I wonder if real!Rory still exists...nothing against auton!Rory because he's obviously "more" than just an auton, you know? Seriously though, I've fallen ridiculously in love with Rory and I'm not even sure why. I can't help it. :)

I keep thinking back to when the Doctor tells little Amelia that "everything's going to be fine." I think it will be. ...I really hope it will be. A part of me what's it to end with little Rory coming over to play or something. That would probably be a little too adorable, though.

Awww, I do love that part. I keep thinking of how Moffat's episodes from the previous seasons ended. They all ended up being all the gas mask people living, Sally Sparrow and her boyfriend staying alive, and even River dying but not really dying. So yeah, I don't think it's impossible for everything to end up being fine. I love the idea of little Rory coming along to play! I keep wondering if, once the whole mess is sorted out, Amy will just go back to that house and not remember all the stuff that happened. I don't know if that makes sense or not or even if I can explain it better than that.

I do know that I will be watching that preview clip over and over and over for the next few days, lol.

I guess that's where fan fiction comes in. ^_^ I think the season has set up the story arc for a happy ending. And, the thing with Pandora's box is that what remained in the box was hope, which is what makes the world and all its horrible things bearable and, sometimes, wonderful. Maybe that's why the Doctor wanted Amy to trust him so often.

Oh, and then there's the intro with Matt Smith where he says the finale is "emotionally rewarding." I don't think you can say that if Rory dies (unless you don't like Rory, I guess!).

Hee!! I agree completely and after the season is over, I'm sure I'll have some ideas. I miss writing fan fiction. P I think you're right. And I'm so glad you told me what Matt Smith said because it totally makes me feel better.

Oh, and about the non-existent third floor on Amy's house...that would totally make sense. Because you know how all the episodes are connected? The Lodger doesn't seem to connect with all the other eps but if it does have a time machine or something on top that would totally make sense.
