I keep forgetting the nutella! D:

Just stopping in quickly before toiling in the kitchen dungeons. I expect to have a rough draft for a Doctor Who story finished by tonight. I need some beta readers, so if anyone would be interested in looking over a quite silly story with the 10th Doctor, please leave a comment. It will be around 1 000 words, if everything ties up neatly. I may not have a typed copy until tomorrow, but I'd still like to know if (and how many) people can take a look at it before it is posted.

It's called 'Last of the Time Lords' and it's a send up of many 10th Doctor tropes, but mostly being "The Last," following it to its natural conclusion (that someone would eventually set up a charity for the Doctor).

Iris Wildthyme is also in it.

Now I want nutella.

I want nutella... and peanut butter. Together. In a sandwich. My sister first gave me the idea.

...that could be full of epic win.

I don't dare ask for a favourite brand. She tends to get snappish when I ask her about anything. I'm thinking it might be fun to experiment with spicing the peanut butter...

With cinnamon and honey! One of my favourite things growing up was sammiches with apples and peanut butter and cinnamon and honey...

I was just thinking the cinnamon sugar I have would be just the thing... I don't know if I have any honey left. I've also never tried apples/PB/cinnamon/honey sammiches! But we have a lot of peanut butter... And I can only have so many peanut butter cookies, you know.

I like peanut butter mixed with hot chili sauce, too. Especially on toast topped with a fried egg.

I don't think I'm THAT brave.

It's sort of low-rent Thai peanut sauce.

Peanut butter is also very good mixed with soy sauce and used on noodles.

I think I just don't like peanut butter much. My mom used to load up the sandwiches with it and I never liked how sticky and dry it made my mouth, so I haven't experimented with dabbing it into other things at all. I should give it a try, especially since I have loads of the stuff.

Ahh, see, I adore peanut butter. Always have. I'll eat it by the spoonful, plain.

Well, this settles it: the PB is all expired according to the dates. At least I have more pantry space now!

*looks sheepish*

I'd probably eat it anyway.

That's what my mom is thinking... She is skeptical and wants to keep it all. I don't think they smell rancid or anything, but they are *old*. 2001-2006 old.

You KNOW I want to read this! :D

[identity profile] philosophercat.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I do! Especially since we came up with the idea together. ^_^

Actually, I want to say that the appearance of platypi in this fic was not intentionally a reference to your good self. It just happened that way- that the Nookians (the people who set up the charity) are 6 foot platypi.

*delighted squeals*

Hey, few things can do "beseeching" like platypi. ;)

And... they care. They really do. Or, at least, they *look* like they do. I think, if they had a planet and were capable of receiving the Doctor's transmissions, they would burn with compassion.

I'd better get on finishing this draft, then!
