It's mom's birthday! I bought her some chocolates, a teddy bear, and a money tree! It's really cute. And I'm so glad she's enjoying it. We also got some moon cakes. I didn't remember ordering them until they arrived. >.> They're really fancy ones... We've never had them before. I went to prepare to cut into them, set up everything, and was just looking at the box to see what's in it when I look down and she's already well into scarfing one down. :D It's then that I read about how the enclosed utensils are for slicing it up into little wedges. So I spent awhile laughing about how we'd eaten them "like the barbarians we are."
I'm ... I have this thing where I get into fandoms really late. Like REALLY late... So, I've fallen into the Ace Attorney fandom, ridiculously hard. I'm having so much fun with it. I think it scratches the mystery novel itch AND it has its own crack which is something I hold dear- franchises which have their own crack, such as Dragon Age with its party banter. I laughed so hard I cried at some of this... On the flip side, it's all angsty too which is also something I enjoy. The characters are fun or interesting. It's absolutely, wonderfully silly but also touching at times.
A 20 year old fandom is giving me life, yes. Also, after a lifetime of fandoms I finally have an actual ship. It was probably the anime that did it. Episode 13... Episode... 13! I kept making noises, as I struggled to smother the screaming or laughter threatening to erupt from my FACE. I mean, this entire series... It's about lawyers, right? But they're inexplicably also air benders because pointing accusingly in court causes actual tornadoes that can break things. And there was this once where they drew the guy's thumb on backwards and even though it's a super important and moving scene, I start crying whenever I think about how silly it is that his thumb is backwards. Oh god, it's happening again. *wipes tear*

It's also my first anime... so.. yeah. >.> *slinks away*

I also played Edgeworth's first game and it was *great*. His second game, where you can play as his father, is only available in Japanese.
