A bare journal a melancholy habitation makes.

A new journal requires a first post, somewhere for friends to leave a note. Besides, a journal without any posts looks bare, and a little bit dodgy. I haven't really bothered with my profile or making things look pretty for now. I just want a place to feed my habit for communicating in this odd way with a few friends I hold dear.

It sounds like, once things calm down, it should be pretty easy to crosspost from here to LJ. I definitely have no plans of relocating entirely, as the vast majority of my flist is on LJ. But I'd like to have options when these DDoS attacks happen.

I like the two-tier "friending" on DW. It's nice to make it clear that some journals are for reading, like a magazine, and some are your actual friends. I imagine it leads to a little leass drama that way.

I am starting my tags on DW now, since I will live to regret it if I don't!
